TEWORH Foundation Nigeria is a non-governmental, non-partisan organization that uses the transformative power of play and mind engagement to effect social change in communities especially in Kaduna and its environs. Through its initiatives, TEWORH has been able to teach and imbibe a number of essential knowledge related to drug abuse, education, health, bullying, well-being and most importantly cohabiting in diverse communities of Unguwar Rimi, Sabon Gari, Narayi/Janruwa and other environs in Kaduna.
Every child deserves a better life… Our project aims to remove vulnerable children from the street, engage every child irrespective of social class, religious affiliation, gender, able or disable and ethnic group. We empower their mind using sporting activities, education and skills acquisition programs. The children and youths that participate in our programs become agents or ambassadors to sustain our model of empowering vulnerable and street kids in Kaduna State in general. Using our sports and skill centres (with partner vocational centres), we reach out to street kids with support from communities, and provide for their development needs, engage them with sport activities, connect them with vocational centres and develop their talents, educational standard, and interests.
Our core aim is to develop young people with integrity and personality of discipline, empathy, confidence, concentration, coordination, and independent mind (DECCCI). We empower the mind of children by educating them on their right as a child, their responsibility and duties to the community, as such Teworh Foundation seeks to train and raise a new set of purpose oriented youths in our society through sports, education and skill acquisition program.
